The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced that the written examination for the ongoing Police Constable Recruitment will hold from Monday, April 28 to Wednesday, April 30, 2026, across designated centres nationwide.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said applicants in the FCT would sit for the examination at the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) Secondary School, Abuja, with the exercise scheduled to commence at 7:00 a.m. daily.
Adeh explained that only candidates who successfully passed the earlier physical and credentials screening would be eligible to participate in the examination. She advised qualified applicants to visit the official recruitment portal to print their Examination Invitation Card, which contains details of their specific date, time, and venue.
According to her, candidates are expected to report promptly at their designated centres and come along with a writing pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) bearing a clear photograph, as well as their printed Examination Invitation Card.
She added that the approved dress code for the exercise is strictly white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white socks.
The Command reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and warned applicants to be wary of fraudsters and job racketeers. It stressed that anyone found engaging in such illegal activities would be arrested and prosecuted.
The command further urged all candidates to remain law-abiding and adhere strictly to the guidelines throughout the recruitment exercise.
