The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of one Mr. Adimike Godwin of Guzape, Abuja, following a distress call over concerns that he could not be reached or accessed.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the victim was discovered injured and lying in a pool of his own blood before he was rushed to Karu General Hospital, where doctors on duty confirmed him dead.
The Police Public Relations Officer said the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, immediately ordered a discreet investigation into the incident.
She disclosed that five suspects, including a relative of the deceased, have been taken into custody in connection with the case.
The command appealed to members of the public to remain calm and cooperate with investigators by providing any useful information that could assist the ongoing investigation.
