Public Relations Officers and spokespersons from various security and emergency response agencies within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have met to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and enhance communication strategies for improved security coordination.
The meeting, held on Thursday at the Federal Fire Service FCT Command Headquarters, Kubwa, brought together representatives from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the Federal Fire Service, among others.
The session, under the umbrella of the FCT Security Spokespersons Forum, focused on developing innovative communication approaches to improve public awareness, information management, and operational synergy among security agencies in the nation’s capital.
Speaking at the meeting, participants underscored the importance of effective communication, coordinated messaging, and timely information sharing, noted that stronger collaboration would boost service delivery, operational efficiency, and public confidence.
They also resolved to sustain the partnership beyond the meeting through joint training programmes, inter-agency engagements, and public enlightenment campaigns to ensure a safer and better-informed Federal Capital Territory.
The meeting was coordinated by SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, who also serve as the Coordinator of the FCT Security Spokespersons Forum.
