Foundation set to engage youths,women as Agric Ambassadors

A foundation known as Global Youth Skills Acquisition & A poverty Eradication Organisation said it has concluded plans to engage youths and woman through Agricultural empowerment and reorientating into good business in the society
The Coordinator of the Foundation, Mr Emmanuel Chuks Ozegbe, explained that if Nigeria must attain the vision 2030 in Agriculture, it must pay more attention on achieving food security, Increasing production and productivity, added that every Nigerian should focus on generating employment income, expanding export and reduce food imports, “thereby feeding resources for critical infrastructural development and delivery of social services, then the youths will be encouraged to participate”
He said the foundation has targeted to raise Agricultural Ambassadors yearly who will revive the agricultural sector, stated that the project is designed as a workshop to train and educate the citizens on how to choose credible leaders, importance of voting and participating in elections.
“And how to properly conduct themselves during elections, how to avoid violence and decline being used as agents of violence. It will also involve social.
“At the beginning of the year, it had loads of promises but due to Covid-19, pandemic, a lot of things were seriously affected across the globe and our organization was not left out.
“However, it has not been all gloomy itself because; we have recorded little successes “here and there. Inspite of the ravaging disease, we are thankful and that is the reason for this gathering to appreciate God and celebrate ourselves.
“The goal of this project is to enhance the total wellbeing of a child through better education formal and informal , healthcare , economic opportunities, promotion of child rights and information on emergency management because we strongly believe that caring, educating, motivating and mentoring ONE CHILD, will reduce the statistics of millions of Nigerian children uncared for and not developed. To also raise children who are confident, goal getters and aspire to be entrepreneurial leaders in the future” he concluded.
