Niger state Governor ,Abubakar Sani Bello has sympathized with Lapai Emirate over the death of Jibrin Salihu, one of the Kingmakers and father to the Commissioner of Education in Niger State.
Governor Sani Bello said that the death of the Kingmaker has created a vacuum that would be hard to fill.
He then commiserated with Alhaji Umaru Bago III the Emir of Lapai, Hajiya Hanatu Jibrin Salihu the commissioner of Education and her entire family members as well as Lapai Emirate.
“Death is inevitable, therefore I urge you to take solace in Allah and accept his demise as a divine call”.
He added that the deceased has paid his due in the service to the state, nation and humanity.
The Governor described him as a pious, religious and detribalized person who believed in peace and unity among the people.
He prayed Allah to forgive him his shortcomings and reward him with Aljannatu Firdausi.
The late Alhaji Salihu was a senator in the first republic, he died at the age of 85 after a brief illness in Zaria, Kaduna State and survived by 16 children.
He was the Tsaiwan Lapai, a traditional title he held until his death.
