GOV SANI BELLO CONDOLES WITH BABA AHMEDS OVER DEATH OF VETERAN JOURNALIST, MAHMOON BABA-AHMED.

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani bello has condoled with the family of writer and media personality, Mahmoon Baba-Ahmed.

Mallam Baba Ahmed died at his residence in Kaduna at about 10:47 p.m. at the age of 74 on Thursday, after a protracted illness.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press secretary, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Governor Sani Bello described the deceased as a resourceful and enterprising Media Man who practised journalism in the most professional way possible.

“Mallam Mahmoon Baba Ahmed is one of the finest journalists we have produced in northern Nigeria, he practised journalism with professional acumen and gives the profession a great level of respect back then”

“It’s sad that he passed away at this difficult time that the country needs his professional wealth of experience the most, young journalists should study the likes of Mallam Baba Ahmed and exhibit his level of professionalism and intellectual capacity in carrying out their jobs” Governor Sani Bello said.

He prayed for Allah to grant the deceased aljannah Firdausi and forgive his shortcomings and prayed for Allah to grant the family the wisdom to accept the great loss.

Mallam Mahmoon Baba Ahmed is survived by one wife and seven children. Among his relations is Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the Chief of Staff to Senate President Bukola Saraki.
