Gov Sani Bello sympathizes with Gen Idris Garba over abduction of his son, in-law, grandchildren

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has commiserated with the former Governor of Benue and Kano States, Wazirin Lapai and Chairman, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai Governing Council, Gen. Idris Garba over the abduction of his Son Abubakar Idris Garba, his Wife, Maryam Bobbo and his Four Children namely Ibrahim, Fatima, Imran and Zainab who were involved in the Abuja-Kaduna Terrorists Train attack.

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane paid a sympathy visit to Gen. Idris Garba over the unfortunate incident in his house in Kaduna

The Governor lamented over the incessant insecurity in the State where several people had been maimed, killed with many others abducted.

Alhaji Bello revealed that the Abuja -Kaduna train attack by Bandits marked another sad moment in the fight against terrorism Nigeria was facing while appealing to the families of Wazirin Lapai and other families whose loved one were abducted to have confidence in the ability of Government to do all that is needed to be done in rescuing their dear ones.

He told the Chairman, IBBU, Lapai Governing Council that he was in his house on behalf of the people and Government of Niger State to commiserate with him over the dastardly incident of the Abuja-Kaduna Terrorists Train attack.

Governor Bello assured Nigerlites that his administration was leaving no stone unturned in arresting the security situation in the State, stressing that “he has directed all security agencies for the speedy rescue of the kidnapped persons and will by God grace be rescued”.

He explained that ;”we are a responsible Government and we shall expedite action in ensuring the safety of all the citizens at all times, while warning those engaged in the nefarious activities that Government would not condone any act of sabotage or indiscriminate abuse of privilege to jeopardize our fragile security situation in the State”.

A member of the family who responded on behalf of the traumatized former Governor, Mr. Aliyu Idris Garba told Governor Sani Bello that the agonizing incident was causing sleepless nights to members of the family and urged the State Government to do everything possible to rescue the kidnapped victims.

Mr. Garba commended Governor Sani Bello for the visit and concern over the unfortunate incident.
