An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has commended the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, saying the government has made efforts to strengthen inclusive governance, expand social services and deepen grassroots engagement in Kano State over the past three years.
Gaya described the governor’s “Kano First” agenda as a strategic initiative aimed at restoring public confidence in government, promoting development and prioritising the welfare of Kano residents.
According to him, the policy reflects the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and ensuring that development reaches communities across the state.
Speaking on the administration’s performance, Hon Mahmud Gaya said the government has focused on key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure and social welfare.
He noted that the education sector has witnessed interventions including the rehabilitation of schools, provision of scholarships and the upgrading of learning facilities in different parts of the state.
In a statement issued in Kano, Gaya said the administration’s emphasis on public engagement and social sector development forms a significant part of its governance record.
He added that as the state approaches another political cycle, attention should be given to consolidating ongoing projects, strengthening institutions and sustaining policies aimed at improving the living standards of residents.
Gaya also prayed for wisdom, good health and continued success for Governor Yusuf in the service of the people of Kano State.
