For supporting the needy, downtrodden in the society and bridge unemployment gaps, Baale Majoalate, Surulere in Lagos, High Chief Kamal Oyekanmi Hassan has appeal to government and private organisations to support the current rate of unemployment, by creating self sustenance and gainful engagements for the youths to ensure a virile society.
He dropped this statement on Saturday at Power Training institute of Nigeria in Akangba area of Surulere, Lagos and his palace during the donation of computers to some youths and indigenes to boost information and communication technology ICT.
He maintained that the donation will go along way in supporting families, ameliorating the current hardship been faced by ordinary Nigerians .
He commended the management of the National Productivity Centre NPC for embarking on such gigantic and life touching program as Corporate Social Responsibility CSR, saying this will go along way to address social and economic problems in the current era.
He asked the beneficiaries not to sell the items donated to them freely, warning them that they can leave their lives with the computer as starter pack.
Oba Majeolate observed that the beneficiaries were carefully selected to identify the genuine ones, so as to avoid recircling and impersonation.
High Chief Oyekanmi Hassan appealed to the centre to consider the area for more supports in all areas, so as to rid the streets of social vices.
Highlights of the occasion included the donation of computers to beneficiaries of Akangba Community in Lagos state.
