The Muslim Rights Concern, Oyo State Chapter, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaja Tawakalitu Abosede Siyanbade, describing her death as a painful loss to the Muslim Ummah in the state and beyond.
In a condolence statement issued on Thursday and signed by the Chairman of MURIC Oyo State Chapter, Barr. Abduwaheed Lawal, the organisation extended heartfelt sympathies to the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria, the Chairman of the MUSWEN Property Development Committee, Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, and the entire Muslim community over the loss.
The group noted that Alhaja Siyanbade, born on August 9, 1960, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the age of 65 and was laid to rest according to Islamic rites. It described her as a devoted Muslimah, a supportive family pillar, and a respected member of the Muslim community whose life reflected humility, service, and dedication to Islam.
MURIC further stated that her demise is a significant loss not only to her immediate family but also to the wider Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and the South-West region.
Quoting the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ on patience in times of grief, the organisation urged the faithful to remain steadfast and accept the will of Allah.
It prayed that Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and give her family and the Muslim community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
