The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing digital innovation as key drivers of Nigeria’s digital transformation and economic growth.
Representing the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, at the 20th International Conference on Technology and Computing (RISE 2026), held at Crispan Hotel, Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State, the Agency’s Director of Stakeholder Management and Partnership, Dr. Aristotle Onumo, described collaboration as a critical enabler of sustainable digital development.
Dr. Onumo said NITDA remain focused on investing in digital literacy, research and development, emerging technologies, cybersecurity and innovation in line with the Agency’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0).
He stressed that stronger collaboration among government, academia, industry and the innovation ecosystem is essential to unlocking innovation, expanding opportunities and accelerating inclusive economic growth.
The NITDA representative also highlighted the forthcoming Digital Nigeria Conference 2026, describing it as the country’s flagship technology event that will bring together policymakers, innovators, startups, researchers, investors and technology enthusiasts to explore emerging trends, exchange ideas and develop practical solutions to national challenges.
He encouraged young innovators and startups to leverage opportunities provided by the conference’s Builders Summit to showcase their innovations and contribute to shaping Nigeria’s digital future.
Dr. Onumo congratulated the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) on the successful organisation of RISE 2026 and reaffirmed NITDA’s commitment to deepening strategic partnerships that will continue to strengthen Nigeria’s digital ecosystem and drive sustainable national development.
