NNPC’s NGPIS Bags ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification

The NNPC Gas & Power Investment Services (NGPIS) has achieved a major milestone with the award of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI), reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence, quality service delivery and sustainable business performance.

The certification was formally presented to the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy, Olalekan Ogunleye, by the Head of Planning and Commercial at NGPIS, Ayuba Rabo, who led the company’s delegation to the presentation at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Wednesday.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification followed an extensive implementation process that began in December 2024, involving internal and external audits, process standardisation and the development of a robust quality management system.

The successful certification was coordinated by the NGPIS Quality Management System (QMS) team under the leadership of Okeoghene Esugo, whose dedication and effective coordination were instrumental to the achievement.

According to the company, the certification affirms that NGPIS now operates a quality management system that meets internationally recognised standards and best practices.

The milestone is expected to enhance the company’s competitiveness, strengthen customer confidence and improve service delivery across Nigeria’s gas, power and new energy value chain, while positioning NGPIS as a globally recognised organisation committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
