NUJ FCT Admin Officer emerges Chairman, Akwa Ibom community in Durumi-Abuja

The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ FCT Council Administrative Officer ,Elder Nsikak Ekpenyong has been elected as Chairman Akwa Ibom community Durumi Branch Abuja FCT,

in his acceptance speech at the inauguration of new Executive of the association,Nsikak Ekpenyong called on the Nigerian youth to elect the right candidate to rule the country and bring meaningful development and employment to youth and effective security in Nigeria.

The speech read in full ;

 

“Good afternoon to you all, l sincerely appreciate your Presence at this Inaugural ceremony today.

 

“I want to use this opportunity to recognize the presence of the Secretary Akwa lbom Community, Abuja for his love to Durumi community and the chairman of the occasion, all patrons, chiefs, our invited guest and our inlaws who are here to honor us, l appreciate you all.

 

“Today is a remarkable day that you all have given me the mandate to serve as our community Chairman for the period of four years, l want to assure you that you have not make a mistake by electing me.

 

“l will delegate my time, knowledge and God’s given wisdom to serve the community better with my team.

 

“I promise to build up from where my out going chairman and his team have stop, and take the community to a greater height, that at the end of our tenor you may be proud that you make a right choice for electing us.

 

I” want to say that a tree can not make a forest and a chief can not rule without subjects, we will need your support and quality advices that will bring meaningful development to our community.

 

“I and my exco will improve on the area of membership welfare and ensure the well being of our members at all given opportunities.

 

“We will ensure discipline among our members and proper conduct and behavior within and outside.

 

“In unity we will stand strong and achieve lots of developments but divided we will not make progress. So, let work in unity and sincere love as we seek to move the community forward.

 

“I sincerely appreciate you all for making out time in your busy schedule to honor us, may God bless and honour you all.

 

“Long live Akwa lbom community Durumi!

 

“Long live Akwa lbom community Abuja!

 

“Long live Akwa lbom State!

And,

 

‘”Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
