PLATEAU ATTACK: AMF condemns killing of Muslim travellers , calls for swift justice

The Abuja Muslim Forum has expressed a huge and rude shock over the grim news of the massacre that occurred on Saturday 14th August 2021, where 22 innocent muslims were killed and another 14 injured at Rukuba, Jos, by Irigwe Christian militants.

The forum therefore called for swift justice against the perpetrators of the ignoble crime.

“The report making round that Governors of Plateau State where the crime was committed and Ekiti State the ancestral home of the victims described the attack as mistaken identity is most unfortunate. We are quick to ask the two State Governors to reveal the identity of Nigerian citizens whose lives could have been rightly taken as done by the Irigwe Christian militants

“We applaud the rapid response given by the security operatives to the distress calls obviously by the survivors of the dastard attacks which led to the arrest of six of the assailants at the scene of the crime. We urge the Nigerian Police to move ahead the remaining conspirators who might have played one role or the other in the crime to apprehend them and make them to face the full wrath of the law”AMF said.

The victims had travelled from Ikare, Ondo State to Bauchi to participate in an event (Dhikr) annually organized by a popular Islamic Scholar, Shaykh Dahiru Usman Bauchi. They were attacked on their return trip by Irigwe Christian militants who slaughtered them.

“We earnestly pray to Allāh SWT in devotion to Whom the victims met their death to count them as martyrs, cleanse them from all shortcomings and errors and admit them into Jannatul-Firdaus. We equally wish the injured quick recovery” AMF added
