S’Court Judgment,A Victory for Democracy – Akande-Sadipe

A member of House of Representatives, Hon.Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has described Friday’s judgment by the Supreme Court, as a victory for Nigeria’s collective democracy.
The Apex Court had declared the sack of elected local governments chairmen in Oyo State by the state Governor, Engr.Seyi Makinde as null and void.
In a statement made available on Friday by her media aide, Hon.Akande-Sadipe said the judgement was a landmark achievement which will further strengthen democracy at the grassroots.
Akande-Sadipe, who represents Oluyole Federal Constituency congratulated the Prince Abass Alesinloye led ALGON, saluting the gallantry of the local government chairmen.
She added that “your steadfastness and doggedness eventually paid off not only for you, but for our party and the grassroots across the nation”.
“We can not celebrate this victory without acknowledging the influence of our late leader Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who supported the cause and encouraged ALGON to stand on the path of truth and justice.”
