Reps ask FG to suspend implementation of Samoa Agreement

The House of Representatives has passed a bill for an Act for upward review of the salaries, allowances, and fringe benefits of judicial office holders in the country, with a total monthly package of N5.39m for the Chief Justice of Nigeria. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, presented a budget of N76.586billion (Seventy Six Billion, Five Hundred and Eighty Six Million Naira) as its budget proposal for 2024 to the House of Representatives’ Committee on Financial Crimes.   The proposed budget represents a 53.48% increase over and above the Commission’s 2023 appropriation of N49.901billion (Forty Nine Billion, Nine Hundred and One Million Naira).
