Minister/Chargé d’affaires of Nigeria Embassy in Ivory Coast, Ambassador Mohammed Gana has joined the Journalists International Forum for Migration (JIFORM) to commend the Oyo State Government led by Governor Seyi Makinde on the hosting of the 2nd JIFORM Summit.
The Minister cum Ambassador was full of exhortations for the President of the Journalists International Forum for Migration (JIFORM): Mr. Ajibola Abayomi for his efforts in managing an organization as viable as JIFORM, while felicitating the organization for the immense work done during the Covid 19 pandemic lockdown period..
Amb Mohammed Gana, said he would never forget the efforts of the Journalists International Forum for Migration (JIFORM ) with the Nigeria Embassy in Ivory Coast to got stranded Nigerians in Ivory Coast during the Covid 19 pandemic lockdown returned home as the Embassy was able to evacuate hundreds (Nigerians)blocked therein during such difficult moment..
Gana then commended Journalists International Forum for Migration (JIFORM) for its immense efforts during the Covid 19 pandemic lockdown crisis for contributing tremendously to the evacuation of many Nigerians and Africans stranded throughout the globe, he also lauded the enlightenment programs of the organization in respect of plight of Africans abroad and migration issues in Africa..
The Minister/Chargé d’affaires cum Ambassador expressed his delight with the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to Oyo State Governor, Hon Bolanle Sarumi for her enormous efforts to make it possible for the JIFORM Summit to have a venue at Oyo State, as he eulogized Governor Seyi Makinde for his clear vision on diaspora matters and massive assistance for the evacuated indigenes of Oyo State..
Gana further expressed great joy as Oyo State would be welcoming Great Minds, Resource Persons, Leaders and Migration Journalists into it abode on the 15th – 17th October 2020, he said! He was certainly sure of the hospitability of the people of Oyo State, the Graciousness of the Senior Special Assistant on diaspora matters to the Governor and her Team including the goodheartedness, Liberal, Accommodative and Large Personality of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Gana emphasized on the activities of NIDCOM, which included advocacy, ensuring the consolidation of declaration of July 25th as “Nigeria Diaspora Day”, organising of the 2nd NDIS Summit, intervening in rescuing many Nigerians in dilemma in different countries, inauguration of NIDO chapters across the federation and many more accomplishments..
