Ogun MURIC applauds Senator Yayi for Sponsoring 100 Muslim Pilgrims for 2025 Hajj …. Describes gesture as exceptional act of faith, service, and compassion

The Ogun State Chapter of the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has lauded Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for sponsoring 100 Muslim faithful from across the state for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

The commendation was conveyed in a statement jointly issued by the State Chairman of MURIC, Alhaji Jimoh Tajudeen Alao (AAN), and the State Secretary, Alhaji Olaleye Rasheed Damilare, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Describing the gesture as “a rare display of leadership, service, and religious tolerance,” MURIC Ogun said Senator Yayi’s act was not only materially generous but also spiritually uplifting.

“This commendable act reflects a sincere heart that seeks the pleasure of Allah and a soul that understands the importance of supporting religion and relieving others of their burdens,” the statement read in part. “At a time when many Nigerians are grappling with economic hardship, this initiative has restored hope and joy in the lives of 100 Muslim families.”

Quoting the prophetic tradition, “Whoever helps his brother in need, Allah will be there in his own time of need” (Sahih Muslim 2699), MURIC said the Hajj sponsorship fulfills both a spiritual obligation and a humanitarian duty.

The group noted that while the Senator has consistently supported education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and religious causes, this latest act stands out as “a divine investment in the Hereafter.”

MURIC offered special prayers for Senator Yayi, asking Allah to accept the Hajj sponsorship as sadaqah jāriyah (continuous charity) and to bless him and his family with long life, good health, unwavering faith, and divine reward in both worlds.

The group further urged other Muslim public office holders, philanthropists, and leaders to emulate the senator’s example, emphasizing that leadership is best measured by the lives one uplifts.

“Senator Yayi, may your reward be as vast as the plains of Arafah and as radiant as the white garments of the Hujjāj. You have brought joy to the Muslim community, and Allah will surely multiply that joy for you,” the statement concluded.
