In preparation for the Eidil-Kabir celebration,Member, representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,Rt.Hon Akinlade Abiodun Isiaq distributed welfare packages such as ram, rice and cash to muslims faithful, some of his loyalists, All Progressives Congress stakeholders, party members and religious leaders across Ogun State and his constituency.
This gesture was part of Akinlade’s socio-economic intervention to enable the beneficiaries celebrate Sallah with ease due to the economic hardship currently hitting the country.
Some of the beneficiaries disclosed that Akinlade,a 4th term member of the House of Representatives,personally called them up to pick up the welfare packages.
Political leaders, youth groups, community leaders and Imams among others benefited from the gesture of unquantified benevolence.
“This is an annual practice Baba Adinni of Yewa has embarked on for the past 20 years while he was in and out of political office”,a beneficiary said.
Akinlade however rejoiced with muslims faithful and wished Nigerians Barka de Sallah.
