A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and gubernatorial aspirant, Ololade Usman Bakare, has mobilised party faithful, stakeholders, youths and women groups across the state in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the party’s presidential primary election.
Bakare, who participated in the primary election at Ward 4, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, described the exercise as a significant step towards deepening internal democracy and sustaining progressive governance in Nigeria.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the exercise, Bakare said the overwhelming support recorded for President Tinubu reflected the confidence Nigerians and APC members have in the President’s leadership qualities, political experience and vision for national development.
He noted that the mobilisation drive was carried out peacefully and strategically across different local government areas in Oyo State, ensuring unity and active participation among party members throughout the exercise.
Bakare commended party executives, ward leaders and grassroots coordinators for their commitment and sacrifices towards ensuring a successful outing for the President during the primary election.
The APC chieftain, who is also a cybersecurity expert, stated that the success of the primary election represented not only a victory for President Tinubu, but also a triumph for progressive ideals and the collective aspirations of party members seeking continuity, stability and economic growth for the country.
He urged party members to remain steadfast, united and committed to the goals of the APC ahead of future political engagements in Oyo State and across Nigeria.
Bakare also reaffirmed his commitment to the growth and strengthening of the APC in Oyo State, pledging continued support for initiatives that promote unity, good governance and sustainable development.
