NYSC DG Says Corp Members safe anywhere in Nigeria, As He Declares Open Protocol Officers Workshop in Abuja

The Director General, National Youth Service Corps,NYSC, Brigadier General S Z Kazaure has reiterated his commitment to the safety of Corp members serving in various states in Nigeria, Kazaure who spoke through the Director, Planning, Research and statistics, Mrs Victoria Okakwu gave the assurance on Thursday during the opening ceremony of a training workshop organised for Protocol Officers of National Youth Service Corps in Abuja

The Director General said NYSC was aware of the Security challenges in some parts of Nigeria,and adequate security measures have been put in place for safety of Corp members in their various places of assignment.

While declaring open the training workshop, Kazaure informed the participants that the excess of the workshop was for training and re- training of Staff for optimal performance and productivity as one of the focal areas of his administration.

 

He assured the participants that NYSC management will sustain the tempo of training and re-training for higher productivity and excellent performance.

He further urged the participants to reciprocate the gesture by re-dedicating themselves to their duties and other official engagement.

 

Also in a welcome address delivered on behalf of the Director General by the Director, Special Duties, Mr. H.A.Nasamu,General Kazaure said the theme of the workshop “Towards Professionalizing Event Management was informed by the need to up NYSC standard of Performance in line with the global best practices.

The Guest Speaker,His Royal Highness, Dr Jacob Adetayo Haastrup who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Abuja chapter in his paper described protocol as a delicate and sensitive job which must be handled with diplomacy and caution.

He enjoined the participants to conduct themselves well and responsibly at all times.
