Prominent political leaders, media executives and stakeholders in Nigeria’s journalism ecosystem are expected to attend the public presentation of Journalism NeXt: A Comprehensive Guide to Modern Journalism, authored by TheNewsGuru Editor, Ediri Oyibo.

According to organisers, the book will be officially unveiled on April 30, 2026, at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, FCT Council, Utako, Abuja.
Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, is expected as Special Guest of Honour, while former Edo State Governor and ex-Senator, Oserheimen Osunbor, will chair the occasion.
The book will be reviewed by Lemmy Ughegbe, Founder and Executive Director of Make A Difference Initiative.
Organisers said the event will also feature a presentation of research findings by the author on the state of journalism in Nigeria, particularly the challenges confronting journalists in the Federal Capital Territory.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include Ede Dafinone, Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, Ned Nwoko, Benedict Etanabene and Mideno Bayagbon.
Also expected are Dili Ezughah of the Nigerian Press Council, Aminu Maida of the Nigerian Communications Commission, and Alhassan Yahya Abdul.
The book, according to organisers, explores the evolution of journalism in the digital era, with focus on media ethics, innovation, sustainability and the changing role of journalists in today’s information ecosystem.
The event is expected to bring together journalists, academics, policymakers, students and media entrepreneurs for engagement and networking around the future of journalism in Nigeria.
