The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has expressed its readiness to collaborate with stakeholders to advance the implementation of the One Humanitarian One Poverty Reduction System (OHOPRS), a unified framework designed to strengthen humanitarian interventions and poverty reduction efforts across Nigeria.
The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, stated this while receiving a delegation from Interra Networks Limited, a digital inclusion organization, during a courtesy visit to the ministry in Abuja.
The delegation presented its interest in partnering with the ministry to support the realization of the OHOPRS initiative through innovative digital solutions and inclusive development strategies.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Doro welcomed the proposal and commended the organization’s approach to promoting digital inclusion. He, however, emphasized that any partnership process would be conducted transparently and competitively to ensure that only the most qualified and capable partners are selected.
“The entire process is going to be competitive, and only the best can be selected. Nevertheless, we appreciate your approach and commitment to supporting our vision,” the Minister said.
The OHOPRS is a unified national architecture that integrates humanitarian relief, social protection, and long-term development interventions into a single coordinated framework. The initiative is built on the principle of “One System, One Register, One Pathway,” aimed at improving efficiency, accountability, and impact in addressing poverty and vulnerability across the country.
The ministry noted that strategic partnerships with stakeholders remain crucial to achieving the objectives of the system and ensuring sustainable development outcomes for Nigerians.
