Dr. Adedeji Adeleke has been voted ‘2022 Man of the Year’ by Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.
Dr. Adedeji Adeleke emerged first place following his online nomination and voting by members of the general public as monitored and confirmed by the Nigeria Service Awards panel of jury which lasted from 14th to 24th August, 2022.
Dr. Adedeji Tajudeen is a Nigerian billionaire, business magnate, the Pro-Chancellor of Adeleke University and the father of one of Nigeria’s most famous singer and songwriter; Davido.
Born in Enugu state on March 6th,1957, he had his primary school education in Enugu state from where he proceeded to Osun State for his secondary education. After which he got admission into the Western Kentucky University, Kentucky, USA in 1976 and by 1979, he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Finance from the same University.
Subsequently, he enrolled for an MBA and then also bagged several PhD degrees mostly from foreign Institutions.
Mr. Adedeji then ventured into the country’s geological space where he made a mark as the founder of the Pacific Holdings a Pacific Drilling Company Limited established in1983, with specializion in geographical surveys, water treatment, drilling of boreholes among others. Today, the company has grown into a leading player in Energy generation and Freight Services.
Similarly, in 1996, Adedeji Adeleke started an NGO called Springtime Development Foundation (SDF) with the aim of making the lives of poor Nigerians better through an unprecedented educational philanthropic strides which culminated in the award of scholarships to students especially indigents all over the globe.
It was therefore no surprise when in March 2011, he received a license to commence operations in his private University named Adeleke University in Osun State.
It is on this premise that the prestigious Nigeria Service Awards whose vision is to recognize, honour and promote outstanding individuals and institutions across all human endeavors is proud to congratulate him for this recognition and his exceptional humanitarian services to humanity.
