Covid-19: NURTW Lagos Chairman reads riot act to bus drivers,conductors

Chairman National Union of Road Transport Workers, Lagos state Council, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly called MC Oluomo,in a bid to compliment the efforts of the state government in curbing the spread of the global epidemic popularly called Coronavirus in Lagos, has read out riot acts to erring drivers and conductors.

He made his position known when he led his team on a visit to some motor parks in Lagos. He ordered all Union members and commercial drivers in the state to take all preventive measures against the deadly virus as they go about their activities.

 

According to him, all members and commercial drivers are to follow strictly the state government directives by using face masks, gloves, not over-loading the vehicles and maintaining proper hygiene by washing their hands with alcoholic based sanitizer.

 

He equally warned commercial drivers that henceforth, there should be no standing of passenger in any of the commercial buses as proper ventilation should be maintained for passengers as well as the social distance.

“Any members caught disobeying these directives will be seriously dealt with and will also be made to face the heavy consequences”.Akinsanya warned.
