The Niger state Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the appointment of Ahmed Garba Gunna (Dan Majen Kagara) as the Acting Chairman, Niger State Board of Internal Revenue.
A statement issued by Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG) disclosed that the appointment of Ahmed Garba Gunna was based on merit, proven credentials, personal integrity, and outstanding records of decades of experience.
The SSG reminded the Acting Chairman of the policy direction of the present administration which aimed at improving the quality of life of the citizens of Niger State, he then urged him to pursue the reinvigoration of the Board within the context of the State Government’s drive towards enhanced internally generated revenue.
The Secretary to the State Government also charged the Acting Chairman to bring his knowledge, skills, and wealth of experience to bear in the performance of his new assignment by working assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in him.
However,Governor Sani-Bello has congratulated Ahmed Garba Gunna on the appointment and wished him success and God’s guidance in the performance of the arduous duties of his Office.
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman, Niger State Board of Internal Revenue, Alhaji Jibrin Yusuf Habibu has been directed by Governor Sani Bello to proceed on terminal leave with effect from Monday, 8th February, 2021.
