The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Mrs. Olubukola Moyo Babajide on her conferment with the prestigious Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) honour by His Majesty King Charles III.
In a statement signed by the Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit of NiDCOM, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Babajide, a Nigerian diaspora entrepreneur, technology leader and founder of Crystal Options Ltd. and Female Techpreneur, was recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours List for her outstanding contributions to technology, business development and inclusion.
Dabiri-Erewa described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of excellence, innovation and impactful leadership, noting that Babajide’s achievements continue to bring pride to Nigeria and Nigerians across the globe.
She said the MBE award reflects the resilience, brilliance and positive contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora, particularly through Babajide’s work in advancing technology, empowering businesses and promoting greater inclusion.
According to the NiDCOM boss, the recognition highlights the growing role of Nigerians abroad in driving economic growth, technological advancement and social development in their host communities while maintaining strong connections with Nigeria.
She commended Babajide for serving as an inspiration to young Nigerians, especially women and aspiring entrepreneurs, urging them to pursue excellence and create meaningful impact in society.
Dabiri-Erewa expressed confidence that the honour would encourage more Nigerians in the diaspora to continue contributing positively to their communities and the development of Nigeria.
She wished Mrs. Babajide continued success and greater accomplishments in her future endeavours.
