The newly appointed Minister of State ,Works and Housing, Alhaji Umar El- Yakubu has lauded the management of Federal Housing Authority FHA under Senator Gbenga Ashafa for its operations in line with it’s zeal to provide housing for all not only in the FCT , but across the country.
The Minister made this remarks on Tuesday during the inspection of 748 of 75 blocks housing unit Zuba constructed by the agency in the FCT .
He commended the quality of works on the Zuba estate, saying this will go along way to ameliorate accomodation problems bedeviling FCT residents and Nigeria at large .
He urged the management to sustain the high quality jobs carried out at the estate, stating that this will give the projects long life span before renovation.
The Minster promised to continue the supports to the Federal Housing Authority FHA to ensure the program on the provision of housing for all is sustained.
El -Yakubu described the community as ‘mixed’ in view of the presence of neighbouring communities sorrounding the new estate.
The Minister urged the management guard the infrastructural provision like water, light, roads and worship centres jealousy, to avoid any unforseen circumstances.
He further described the new estate as serene and habitable, promising to commission the project soon,as it had achieved over 90% completion.
“We are impressed by the architectural design of the one, two ,three bedrooms and the terrace.” El- Yakubu said.
