I have no preferred candidates for 10th NASS leadership – Tinubu

The President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with the Senators and members of the house of representatives elected on the platform of the All Progressives Party (APC) in the last elections at the State House conference centre in Abuja.

 

 

In the meeting which was held on Monday, March 13, 2023, among those present were Orji Kalu, senator-elect for Abia north, Ahmad Lawan, former senate president, Abdulaaziz Yari, former governor of Zamafara state and senate-elect, Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo state and Godswill Akpabio.

 

While addressing the lawmakers under the ruling APC, Tinubu said he does not have any preferred candidates for leadership of the forthcoming 10th National Assembly.

 

The ruling party also charged its legislators-elect not to rest yet over the electoral victories that paved their way to the next National Assembly but go back to work for victory at next Saturday’s Governorship and Assembly elections in their various States.

 

The President-elect’s position on the composition of the leadership of the soon-to-be-composed 10th National Assembly was delivered at the meeting by the Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima.
