The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections as a well-deserved victory that will help consolidate the administration’s ongoing reforms.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Chukwudi Enekwechi, and Secretary, Segun Ogedengbe, the group said the economic reforms introduced by President Tinubu since assuming office on May 29, 2023, were necessary despite the temporary hardship experienced by Nigerians.
According to the group, the removal of fuel subsidy and the harmonisation of the foreign exchange market, though painful, are critical measures aimed at restoring Nigeria’s economy to a sustainable path of growth and development.
TMV expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s return as the APC’s presidential flagbearer would further strengthen ongoing achievements in key sectors, including infrastructure, power, agriculture, education and economic development.
The group highlighted what it described as notable accomplishments of the administration, including road construction, improved exchange rate stability, the student loan scheme, the establishment of CREDICORP, increased monthly allocations to states, agricultural expansion and enhanced food security initiatives.
It also noted the massive infrastructural development currently taking place in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), expressing optimism that these gains would be consolidated during a second term.
TMV further welcomed President Tinubu’s recent “Thank You All” message to Nigerians, in which he acknowledged the challenges associated with the reform process while maintaining optimism about the country’s future.
The group commended the President’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying its full implementation has the potential to transform Nigeria significantly.
While appealing for continued public support for the administration, TMV urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive as the government pursues policies aimed at delivering long-term economic prosperity and national development ahead of the 2027 elections.
