2023; NOA DG frowns against Electoral Violence, Vote Buying.

The Director -General, National Orientation Agency NOA, Dr Garba Abari has expressed reservations on the two monsters affecting the process of Nigeria’s electoral system, stating that violence and vote buying if not curbed, may mar the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

 

Abari bare his mind during a one -day summit for political parties and stakeholders organised by the agency towards ensuring a violence free elections as Nigeria prepares for the next year’s general elections.

 

He appealed to political parties and other stakeholders to go beyond arrangements for the 2023 general elections, but make provisions for factors militating against free , fair and credible elections in Nigeria.

 

Dr Garba Abari maintained that the National Orientation Agency NOA will not rest on its efforts and campaigns towards ensuring and sustaining Nigeria as an egalitarian society, through a robust democratic process, but will do anything humanly possible to reorient Nigerians towards producing dynamic leaders.

 

He vommended INEC as partners in progress towards the forthcoming 2023 general elections, and lauded the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari over the new electoral act.

 

He has the promises by Nigerian President to ensure a free, fair and credible elections in 2023 remains a guiding force towards a smooth transition program in Nigeria.
